James' First Words

I thought it would be interesting to try and capture this moment in time where James (one and a half) has now started picking up new words on a daily basis.

First Words:
Mum mum (now Mummy)
Da da (Now DahDee)
Na-na (banana)

Animals:
Woof Woof dog
Quack Quack Duck
Animal Signs ( pig nose for pig, arms under armpits for monkey, elephant trumpeting and arm for trunk)
Turtle
Fish noise: smacking lips
Hippo Noise
Moo Cow
Baah
Raaah! (for lion, dino etc)
Horse noise

Assorted words:
Nose
Mouth
No (though more often no-no-no-no-no and shaking head)
Bye Bye & Night-Night (with waving)
Balloon
Ball
Roll
Poo poo
Water
Up
Ready Steady go (pronounced daddy eddy uh)
Baby
Bubbles
Out
Bath
Apple
Yes

Baby James

Baby James Seddon arrived at 3.54am on Tuesday at Brighton Hospital, weighing in at a whopping 9pounds 2 oz, 10 days overdue and with a full head of hair.

We arrived at the hospital about 1.30am so were only there for a couple of hours when baby James emerged, with Jo just using the tens machine and gas & air.

Baby and mum are doing well. Jo's mum is here and is helping lots.
