Old URE Photos (1976-79)

I've posted a fair amount about URE (University Radio Exeter) including this old archived page http://seddonism.jimdo.com/ure-history/ .

I was contacted by Nick Ridgway who found the reunion post from 2006. He said:

"I've got loads of photos on colour-slide (remember them) from 1976-79, as I was Studio Manager from 1977-9 in the egg-box days. Gimme an e-mail address for the site webmaster and I'll send some scanned-in ones. There's a URE network on LinkedIn."

So here the photos are:

I think this top one is of John Whitworth aka Frog who has been an ongoing presence holding the radio station together for many years.

Zombie Walk

Beach of the Dead; the Brighton Zombie walk http://www.beachofthedead.com
was today, returning for its fith year, though the first I've seen. There were hundreds of zombies, wilth amazing costumes - realy really impressive!

Theme: Zombie - a person who is or appears to be lifeless, apathetic, or totally lacking in independent judgment; automaton.

Parade:
A parade (also called march or march-past) is a procession of people.

Start point:
Victoria Gardens (Next to The Royal Pavilion)

Finishing Point:
Madeira Drive, Brighton Seafront

Zombie Crowd, with a puppet zombie controlled by a zombie on stilts. Hmm.
